Another week of badminton ✅

This week’s highlights:

• League big wins for our Grade 2 Mens, Grade 6 Mens and Grade 6 Ladies ‘A’
• A huge draw for Grade 3 Ladies ‘A’ 💪
• Cup success too — congratulations to Grade 5 Mens ‘A’, Grade 1 Mixed and Grade 7 Mens ‘B’ on cracking wins and booking their place in the final 🏆

Not every result went our way, but we reset, learn, and go again.

Next week: the final round of league games for most teams before playoffs — and it’s a big one. Fixtures all week and every match matters now.

This Sunday (22nd March) is a huge day for Meath Badminton as the Leinster CAC Intercounty Finals take place in Baldoyle and Tolka Rovers!

We’re especially proud to have Meath represented in every grade, with our club members pulling on the Meath jersey across: Grade 1, 2A, 2B, 3, 4A, 5A & 5B. A massive credit to the hard work and dedication shown all season — the whole club is behind you.

To every Meath player competing on Sunday: soak up the occasion, back yourself, and leave everything on the court.

A huge shoutout to our Grade 7 Ladies who lit up the week with a brilliant 4–0 win over Ardee — well done, ladies!
And once again, a massive congratulations to our Grade 2 Mixed ‘A’ on finishing runners-up in their Mixed League Final — a super achievement!

With the season reaching its climax, we’ve got loads of league and cup games coming up this week. Let’s push to get as many Men’s and Ladies teams into the playoff stages — and hopefully a few cup finals too.

Thursday Club Night

🥈 Proud moment for our Grade 2 Mixed ‘A’ team!

Our team finished runners-up in the league final last night in Wilkinstown — a huge achievement for Alo, Elaine, Anneke and Gerard, who gave absolutely everything.

This wasn’t a one-night performance either. They battled through 10 tough, competitive league matches to earn their place in the final, showing real consistency and determination all season.

👏 Congratulations to Kildalkey on the win — a quality performance throughout the match.

🔥 A special mention to Elaine Maher, who produced an incredible spell in the ladies’ game, serving 21 consecutive points across the 2nd and 3rd sets. 21! That’s something special.

Well done to all four
