11 October 2014 - Navan Badminton Club Fundraiser - Padraig Potts' Guide to Walking
Last Saturday night 11th October, at the Newgrange Hotel, an audience of over 150 people were treated to an excellent nights entertainment as Seamus O'Rourke performed, with great skill and range, the highs and lows of the life of Padraig Potts McKiernan. This one man show, written and performed by Seamus O’Rourke portrays a young man as he arrives at the cusp of manhood, and hangs around for a while before deciding step over the line! Life in rural Ireland during the seventies and eighties was brought to life on stage in the most vivid manner, as we were told the story of lives and loves and loss in small town Ireland. We highly recommend this play to anyone with even a passing interest in the theatre, a great night will be had by anyone who attends in future. We would like to wish Seamus and BigGuerilla productions the very best of luck in their continuing run of the Padraig Potts play! More info can be found here

Many thanks are due to the staff and management of the Newgrange Hotel. Massive thanks also to NBC Secretary Elaine Collins for all her efforts in organising this great night from start to finish! Thanks Elaine

After the play we held a raffle and the audience was more than generous, as were local businesses and individuals who donated the Raffle Prizes;
